  09.06.2022            LO:to explore the concept of representations and stereo types.  introduction to media representations -the media offers the audience an interpretation of the world. -it is a re presentation of the events, people and places. stereotypical//a stereotype is a generalised representation of a person, place or thing. They are limited and often offensive or used for comedy. stereotype expectations -nanny, old, female -nurse, young, female -teenager, acne, lazy -astronaut, male, middle aged -football player, male, rich , young -teacher, this advert is stereotypical because this advert has all men in to try and change the image of nurses being women, its also stereotypical because, some of them are holding items that they show an interest in making them look quite strong. the stereotypes of cornwall school is probably people thinking that people living in the middle of countryside and by farms and that many people like surfing and going to the beach.

  28.04.2022      lo: to identify the features on a magazine front cover; to explore genre codes and conventions magazine front covers masthead- the name of the brand/ title of the magazine is usually at the top dateline-   usually in small writing someone on the side of the magazine main image-  always in the middle of the magazine quite large to draw peoples attentions cover lines-   small writing on the sides of the magazine so people know what its about inside main cover line-  usually on the side of the magazine but in bolder,bigger writing than the other cover lines bar code/price-  usually at the bottom of the magazine tagline/ strap line-  a  strap line appears at the bottom of an ad and sums up the essence of the brand or company                                                                                    -vogue is the masthead -dateline underneath vogue in small writing -rihanna is the main image in the centre of the page -main cover line is rebel ! -cover lines either
